The opening game of the season, starting with a drive up north to Gosford. Started at left-fullback and played for 82 minutes. Had a very solid first-half, one of the better players in a team which was very lacklustre in the opening 30 minutes of the game. I helped create the chance which lead to a penalty being awarded to us to level the score at 1-1, however we conceded soon after just before the break and went in 2-1 down. A very aggravating first half for me as I had a header blaze wide of the goal from a corner alongside the team not being up to standard. In the second half I wasn’t as involved and found myself sitting back more. I had a very good performance and more fitness is the only thing I felt I lacked in the game as I tried to preserve myself to try and last the full 90. Starting off the season with a neutral note.
