Played 2 games on this day, 60 minutes for 18’s as they needed numbers, and 30 minutes for 20’s, both games played at either side of centre-back. In the 18’s, regardless of the scoreline I thought I played well and did as much as I could to prevent more goals. I felt the team chemistry wasn’t there and we lacked ability in possession and were in on the counter countless times after easy mistakes.
On a different note, the 20’s was a positive with the team pulling a good performance against a stronger opposition where we feel we could’ve easily drawn or won the game, but once again not being able to finish our chances got the better of us. I was introduced 60 minutes into the game, down 2-0 after 2 quick goals. My performance was good after a fast start to the game for me. I was good on the ball and organised in defence. We scored and we were in the game, creating chances but not executing. A positive performance with good things to take away heading into the break.
