U20 Round 9 (ML1): Mounties Wanderers FC vs Hills Utd FC
Final Score: Mounties 0 - 4 Hills
A tough loss under difficult circumstances at the moment. First goal was a hopeless own goal and after half time we let the game go as they scored 3 more times. My first half was okay, my effort and intensity was high throughout the game and equally my best factor of my performance alongside my technical ability and attacking presence. In defence I was okay and when I did not make the right decision or win a contest, I made up for my mistakes with efforts in getting back and recovering to help the back-line. We are without a striker at the moment and although we had chances plentiful, we weren’t able to score and with the oppositions constant attacking threat, it was inevitable that we were going to conceded eventually. I was very happy with my performance and could not have done a lot more. Some better decision making late on in the second half when I was on the ball would have made me more satisfied but at least it gives me something to improve and work on.
Photos above were from a midweek game I played 90 minutes for the U18’s, 2 days before playing another 90 minutes for my U20’s team.
