Hard fought game today, our best opponents of the competition so far who put up a good battle for the 3 points. I started at right centre-back in a 1-4-2-3-1, and was up against a fast and physical high-press from the opponent. I kept composed and attempted to keep the ball on the floor and breaking the defensive lines. Defensively, I faced lots of long balls and had to do several recovery runs. The goal they scored was off of a corner which went over my head and was headed in. Last 30 minutes the score was 2-1, and consistency was key in seeing the game out for a good result. Good communication across the backline kept us organised and preventing dangerous situations. Overall a solid performance.
