U18 Round 17 (YL2): Parramatta FC vs St George FC

Final Score: Parramatta FC 4 - 2 St George FC

Played 75 minutes at left centre-back in a 1-4-3-3 formation, putting in a solid performance but was unfortunate in a 4-2 loss. I played a good overall game, with limited mistakes and if I did make any, I learnt from them. On the ball I looked to make longer and faster passes to use the slow pitch to our advantage, playing several good balls in behind, one leading to a goal. Played between lines well and picked good moments, knowing when to go and not forcing play. Defensively I was very good 1 on 1, and was only beaten with through balls in behind against their fast striker. I felt resilient and didn’t let the score get the better of me, playing my game to the best possible to help the team, however we couldn’t convert several chances created in the second game which lead to our eventual loss.
