Played it out for the draw. Started my first match after having missed the 2 previous games to injury and started at left centre-back in a 1-3-4-2-1 formation. I felt good on the ball, and played positive passes to open up new areas of space and was leading from the back with commanding communication. I was able to find good diagonal passes through the lines of defence and drew players in from the opposition press to take multiple players out of the game at once with one pass to release our player into space. Defensively, I won the large majority of contested headers and made a few tackles and was good at delaying the opponents attacks with good defensive positioning. The overall summary of the game was that our team stamped good authority in the first half allowing us to be 1-0 up at the break, however a slight loss of that momentum caused an evenly fought out game in the second half where the opposition found an equalizer.
