U20 Round 19 (ML1): Canterbury Bankstown FC vs Mounties Wanderers FC

Final Score: Berries 0 - 1 Mounties

A full match, 90 minutes at left-fullback. A highly anticipated matchup that didn’t disappoint. Heading into the game we knew it required a team-effort to win, and to that expectation we delivered and put a shift in to draw a good result against our rivals. My game was excellent as a whole and arguably one of my best performances of the season, not perfect but very consistent and doing the simple things well. My work on the ball was up to standard and I passed the ball well. The bets parts of my game were my defensive efforts, discipline and composure in a fiery game, and communication to my team. My side was locked down and as a defensive line, we defended well and minimised goal-scoring opportunities at our goal. I was complemented for my game by several teammates and coaches and was very happy with myself as I enjoyed the playing the game, taking pressure off of myself and just playing which I think made the difference between a good and great game. Great individual and team effort, with positives to take into our next match.
