Trial Match: Aris Limassol u19 0-9 Denmark u19

Final Score: Aris 0-9 Denmark

Although it was a trial match, it was my first minutes in a match in around 10weeks and was good to get a feel again. I played only in the second half as minutes were dispersed evenly across the team, and felt I that aside from the scoreline, my performance was decent. In possession I did what I could, with a team that was not playing well in its entirety on the day, maybe the ‘friendly’ mentality overriding the need to put effort into the match. My performance was good and I was aggressive in my defending. Two things that weren’t going for me during the game were having good enough clearances, not winning the ball if I left my position. Although connecting with the ball for a clearance, it was one of those days where I couldn’t clear the ball where I wanted, sometimes being too shallow of a clearance and not fully getting rid of the opposition’s attacking threat. Now, I am just working on my fitness at the moment and looking to get my first minutes in the league competition.
