U20 Trial Game 1 Mounties FC vs Northbridge Bulls FC
Final Score: Mounties 2 - 1 Northbridge
I was introduced 25 minutes into the game at right centre-back and played about 60 minutes. Had a good first game in a 20’s environment and thought I did pretty well. In possession I helped influence the team in being patient and playing out of the back which was successful most of the times we tried it. We ended up scoring early into the second half and I feel I had some influence in the way our play style was more patient and thought-through before making decisions. Defensively I was sound next to my pairing CB and only conceded to a good play from the opposition where I was dragged out of position and they exploited the space I left which led to their goal. Overall I thought I performed well, with good aerial contests and challenges, the best part of my game being what I was doing on the ball.
