U18 Round 30 (YL2): St George FC vs Rydalmere Lions FC

I was substituted onto the field for the final… minutes and played well. I was trying my best to be as advanced as possible in an attacking sense. It was the last 30 minutes I would get so I put my best into the game. I won all of my contests aerially and got some clearances. Tried getting into far and wide positions to spread the pitch to get the ball for a cross, but I wasn’t being reached, and then had to make several long recoveries when I was caught out there. We needed a draw or win to proceed through to the finals and I came into the situation of us being 1-0 down. All mine, and the teams efforts weren’t rewarded in the end as they sealed the game in the 85th minute with another goal and put our finals prospects out of reach. That’s it for this 2022 season, by far the best season I’ve had at a club, and in terms of my performances as well. I’m gaining better consistency and have learnt plenty along the way with these boys and the 2 great coaches we had.
