Final Score: St George FC 4 - 1 Bonnyrigg WEFC

In this game I started as a right fullback in a 1-4-3-3 formation. We started off the game strongly and were good at building up play through our process of play. Our opposition were playing long balls, as they couldn’t progress play beyond our high press. On the ball, I was good and progressed the play from receiving from the centre-back and into the midfield to switch play to the other side. However, my tactical movement off the ball was what made several chances where I would create a midfield overload and draw players out of position. The only part of my game which was negative was from the goal which we conceded, where I was beaten 1 on 1 after not realising the winger’s strengths early enough, allowing him to use them then to create a cross which they would score off. After we conceded, I was aware of the winger’s abilities and he had no more major involvement for the time I was still on the field. We bounced back with 2 goals straight after their equaliser then closed the game out late in the second half with out 4th goal. Overall, a good performance from the team, sticking to our processes.
