Game Performance

I started this game at right centre-back and began very strong, engaging in an early attack while keeping possession and playing around the opposition. We conceded first but brought the score level to 1-1 in the first 25 minutes. I was taken off shortly after our equaliser after playing fairly well but was under pressure at times, especially when attempting to play out of the back against a press. I sat the rest of the half off and rate my first half performance a 7/10, considering that we conceded and only 2 or 3 times missed a pass.

I came on in the second half with around 20 minutes remaining but did not play as well as the first half. Although I made contribution to our possession as we kept the ball for the vast majority of the game, my defensive efforts weren’t sufficient enough to pull through for a win.
